Dear Members and Friends,

After a highly successful show with a well-attended opening in May of "Undeniable: Claiming the Legacy of Our Bodies, Ourselves," we are settling into a summer with our activities focused inward on creating. 

 

Summer is a time of reflection and relaxation as well as garnering inspiration for our new projects, paintings, sculptures, creations. Our members are already focusing on preparations for the fall juried member show as well as far out as our spring show on contemporary portraiture. 

 

Our new virtual galleries are giving us opportunities for additional and more specialized shows as well as extending out the availability to a wider audience of our semi-annual in-person shows. We are always looking for member feedback and would love to hear ideas you may have for shows for our virtual galleries. AE's inaugural virtual gallery show last winter was also our inaugural photography-exclusive show. 

 

Again this upcoming fall we will continue our peer and professional critiques along with new speakers on hot topics relating to the business and practice of professional artists and art-making. Feel free to contact me with your ideas regarding what you would like to know more about and we will do our best to find experienced speakers on the topics of importance to our members.
